GIMP Help 2

GIMP 2.2 has new manual. It is available in several languages (czech, china, english, etc.) and several formats (html/pdf/docbook).

Wikimedia Commons

This is mainly message for my students :-). You should add this link Wikimedia Commons (czech version) to your bookmarks, because it is very good repository of free multimedia files. You can add there your own photos, textures, sounds, videos too.

Orange (the open movie project)

Project Orange was started. The Blender Foundation and the Netherlands Media Art Institute, Montevideo/Time Based Arts, have agreed on producing a 3D Animated Movie Short, to be created with the Open Source 3D suite Blender and other OS tools such as Yafray, Python, Verse, Gimp, etc.

Trip to Prag

I visited entermultimediale with jimmac yesterday. This exposition was poor and expensive, but I visited jm and discussion with him was very positive and useful :-). Of course, I admire "his" motion capture :-).

Uni-Verse meeting in Fraunhofer IGD

I came back from uni-verse meeting in Darmstadt today. This meeting was in Fraunhofer IGD. It was very good and useful for me. It was also nice to see Ton, Eskil and Emil again :-).

OSS Alliance announced cooperation with Blender3d

OSS Alliance announced cooperation with Blender3d.cz. OSS is czech organisation supporting Open Source projects in Czech Republic. They will pay some advertisment in printed and electronic magazines about CG, present some presentation and blender courses, etc. Leader of this project is one crazy dude. I think, that you all know him. His name is Jiri Hnidek ;-).
